WORLD CUP HOPS DAY #16: Knockout Stage Begins

Great way to start your weekend with two big match-ups to begin the Knockout round of the World Cup. Sixteen teams remain and the intensity will be kicked up a notch from here on out (please pardon the pun).

Brazil vs. Chile

The hosts face up against a very strong and talented Chilean side to start us off. Both teams have been tested in the group stage and it’s difficult to pick a winner in this one. Chile have become a dark horse in this competition and they have plenty of belief after moving on from a group that included the 2010 finalists. Crack open a Colorado Appia, brewed in Ribeirao Preto, Brazil, for this match.

Colombia vs. Uruguay

Colombia breezed through group play with 3 wins and a +7 goal differential. They haven’t faced stiff competition yet, while Uruguay have had to play three very strong sides, including two European powerhouses and a surprising Costa Rica team. Of course, Uruguay will be missing their star man and Cavani will need to step up. Enjoy a BBC Septimazo IPA out of Bogota for this South American match-up.
