Every soccer game there seems to be one or more players on the field who’s hair is too perfect. “How is their hair perfectly styled and stable during such a grueling and exhausting sport?” many wonder to themselves. They have to be consciously making sure their hair looks good when the cameras are not on them. Well apparently Gareth Bale, according to Harry Redknapp’s autobiography, could not stop touching his hair even during training sessions. In his book Harry Redknapp says
He drove me mad in training. Technically, he was outstanding but he always seemed to be playing with his hair. It was never right. He’d be flicking the fringe or wiping it out of his eyes and I would be going quietly mad, just watching. ‘Gareth, leave your barnet alone! Gareth! Stop touching your hair!’
So if Gareth Bale is doing it in training then I can only imagine what Cristiano Ronaldo does during game-time. Probably has an emergency tub of gel in his locker for halftime touch-ups, maybe even some gel behind the goal for mid-half touch-ups. Then again, can you blame Gareth Bale? Flow for days.
